What you need to know about RADON

Testing for radon is as simple as placing a monitor in the home and following a few, easy protocols...

Twelve hours prior to the start of the test and during the testing period, "closed house" conditions will need to be observed.

All windows are to be kept closed.

Exterior doors are to be kept closed except for momentary exiting and entry.

Whole house fans and fireplaces should not be operated.

Window AC units should be placed on recirculate if they are used.

Furnace and central AC may be operated as normal.

The radon monitor is placed in the lowest livable level of the home.

The radon monitor will take a measurement every hour for the next 48 hours.

The monitor is picked up from the home, data downloaded and a report created showing the radon levels and average during the testing period.
